Double Chocolate with Chille Cookies - adapted from Julie's in the Kitchen
Ingredients
2 cups all purpose flour
1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder (I used Hershey's)
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp cayenne pepper
1 cup chocolate chips -
whichever you prefer, milk, semi-sweet, or dark
1 cup (2 sticks) butter
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 Tbsp vanilla extract
In mixing bowl combine butter, sugar, and brown sugar until creamy. Add egg, vanilla extract, mix well.
In separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, unsweetened cocoa powder, cinnamon, cayenne pepper, and salt together.
Add dry ingredients to liquid mixture and stir until blended.
Add chocolate chips to mixture.
Preheat oven to 375, prepare pans.
Using teaspoon or cookie scoop, drop about a 1” rolled ball into sugar/cinnamon mixture to coat and place 2 inches apart on cookie sheet.
Bake 7-8 mins. Transfer to cooling rack.
Makes approx 4 doz.
