Classic Banana Bread Ingredients 2 -2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour* 3/4 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp salt 1/4 cup butter or margarine, softened 1 cup sugar 2 eggs 1 6oz container yogurt 1 tsp vanilla extract 3 med ripe bananas mashed
Directions 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease a 8 1/2 in x 4 1/2in pan.
2. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt, set aside.
3. In another bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth. Add in eggs, yogurt, mashed bananas, vanilla.
4. Mix in dry ingredients until moist. Pour into prepared pan.
5. Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour, or until toothpick inserted into middle of loaf comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes before removing from pan and finish cooling completely on wire rack.
*The type of yogurt you use will determine if you need more than 2 cups of flour to attain a moist yet firm bread.
